RPA Admin – Website Update

Hi folks, this is an update from the RPA Admin to advise you of changes to the Robert Pirsig Association Website.

Most of the changes are “under the hood”, about making the arrangements more sustainable for multiple / future RPA Admins and reducing critical dependencies on individual voluntary funding and efforts. But there are a couple of points for members to note:

The look and feel is even simpler than it was before, though there is better (and faster) functionality in accessing news stories, searching and sharing what we have, contacting us and for new subscribers beyond ZMM50th / 2024. Please have a browse around via the simplified menus and advise any thoughts or problems you encounter, using either the contact form, or the (public) comment box below this post.

With the under the hood changes, we are now in a position to expose more of our Pirsig content to subscribers and focus on achieving the aspirations described on the (work-in-progress) “Online Resources” page. Please browse this page, and if you have any thoughts or suggestions, you know how to contact us.

Finally, like millions of other websites, your emails are now subscribed directly via the underlying WordPress “JetPack” functionality. Although this may appear to be a technicality, and by default you don’t actually need to do anything, if you are new to WordPress, you may encounter unfamiliar dialogues if you delve into managing your subscriptions there. Any problems don’t hesitate to ask. (Sadly, due to the switch of email subscription service, a handful of you who had previously unsubscribed, may find yourselves receiving this post. Please accept our sincere apology and reply “Unsubscribe” directly to the email – or use the contact form or email direct to our “admin [at] robertpirsig [dot] org” – and we will manually ensure your removal.)
